thought - inspiration

(ĭn'spə-rā'shən)

a . 1 Stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity.
2 The condition of being so stimulated.
b. An agency, such as a person or work of art, that moves the intellect or
emotions or prompts action or invention.
c. Something, such as a sudden creative act or idea, that is inspired.

i hope to be remembered for at the very least this one intangible. to make such an impression that you inspire, to relate and be that adaptable that you create.

the next set of pictures are from patrons at my workplace. kids! its a money bonus if you occupy the children long enough so the parents can enjoy their meal. hopefully ill hone this talent from just inspiring children, to inspiring adults.

-ella age 6 to 8. looked up and said "im doing what i like to do, numbers and shapes"

-maya age 5 to 7, when told "dont forget the saddle maya" she responded to me.."it dosent have a saddle, its a wild horse" i stood corrected!

-imdan age 7 to 9 commented on his cool looking hat, and asked if that was him in the first picture. He very politely said "no" but added "this one is megatron tho!!" pointing at the second.

Greg - 25 to 30.. A smooth start, with a rocking ending. long ticket time lead into a free salad and a recovery bowl of soup. during the long wait he called me "dennis the menace" to probably eased the tension..

thought - 420.2 - Carl Sagan

carl sagan! is a person noteworthy for many of things. which now include, a random thought of my own! i urge those who appreciate the world of intellectuals to take a moment and read the wikis.
i recently stumbled upon a article regarding the award-winning 1980 classic television series cosmos: a personal voyage. with my hot date sensimillia. we gawked, laugh, cried, and were equally struck with sagan-like brilliance. finding ourselves on similar journies, riding the edge of our lifted state. and then we realized this guy had to be lifted and on our level.. right?

researching commenced and the results were paid in full after some googling and pandora'n. the excerpt below is from the 1969 personal account, that was used in the publication "marihuana reconsidered" (1971). where he wrote under the pen name of "mr.x" sagan was in his mid-thirties at that time and he continued to use cannabis for the rest of his life.

"the cannabis experience has greatly improved my appreciation for art, a subject which I had never much appreciated before. the understanding of the intent of the artist which I can achieve when high sometimes carries over to when I'm down. This is one of many human frontiers which cannabis has helped me traverse. "

i equally feel the same, and rest assured by most i know, can express a similar appreciation. and if luck would have it, the following short below will have you feeling just like "mr.x" and me, again.

zombies... at times i feel like a zombie in front my computer screen. stumbling away through the endless web, hopping from pandora, to skype, to travian, to anime and back again. all in good mindless fun. which brings me to a very random thought. one that my roommate egg, would definitely appreciate! here is some zombie art for your viewing pleasure. enjoy!.. (brains sold separately, and are not included)

- a clean design with some humor, like the layout great for a page header.

- a dark and menacing battle awaits for the hunter down the shaft.

- an old favorite, we always picture a zombie infestation with adults... i could imagine my nephews battling just as tough!!

and last but not least how can i leave out the zombie blazer? *cough* trailblazer that is.. bring me back to the old magic days.

i walked into a book store in mt. view today, calendars were 50% off. back and forth i quickly perused the selection, trying to kill a little time before the eventual ride home. nothing grabbed my attention until a collection of black and white nature style photos popped from the rack. With simplicity of designed, soy based ink on 100% recycled paper, finished with a water based coating. $7.32 was a steal to donate to the socially conscious effort! exactly what you would expect from a calendar of zen thoughts..

for anyone who knows me and my stance with religion or the idea of structured worship/faiths/doctrines, im heavy with opinions and critiques! zen included. but i must confess my understanding of zen is one of a friendship. I hold a great deal of respect and gratitude for its teachings and for those that are equally inspired enough to share and express their own findings. a balancing of real-world application and spiritual adaptations. as any advocate of any companion would express that there is a way, out there, as long as you find it.

my moment of zen..
