thought <> local and state

may - as it rushes into focus, all at once. it presents itself as a staging point for the comings and goings for the summer to come. about half of my family birthdays are reserved during the sunny months, planning is essential. if i want to survive another fun filled seasons of allergies and empty pockets. long road trips and pre-holiday dread. (ive worked retail or around it for the last 8 years, its warranted). so naturally as i grow a little older and develop a little bit more wisdom, i add things to the planning process as being equally important. voting. terrible segway but it works. lets just say voting is part of life's process to mature and get involved, be informed and perform your duty to your community and your family. at least set the example. i dont know anyone who dose not hold an opinion or three about how gas prices are high, or their child's education is poor. one way or another there are several factors that can have an impact on your over all well being so why not take some of those factors into consideration.

june 8th - is the day of the primary election. Statewide! which means your voice must be heard, im def an advocate for speaking up and being heard! so lets be!

Voter Information Guide - June 8, 2010 Primary Election

above is where you will find a listing of the potential candidates, which all elude me as the right choice. as well as a listing of the propositions this go around.
let me make a quick run through of how and why we should vote a certain way.

Prop 13 - A def Yes - Basically to give an incentive for land/property owners to retro fit the place with seismic tech and so on. no brainer
Prop 14 - Yes - Allows me to choose the best candidate. but of course this would be solely dependent on my own knowledge and information ive gathered on the candidate. the con- argument mentions how the nominees would just hide their true nature and list as an independent. I think this forces the voter to educate themselves a bit more. which now that you mention it.. seems like it might be bad.. ha! its a yes for me..
Prop 15 - a HUGE no.. greedy politicians get your hands out of the public fund. its a no brainer that the top three candidates running for gov. are against it. ha!!
Prop 16 - No.. dont even think about this one.. its a no.. sneaky little bastards, trying to reform ma-bell.. *mutter*
Prop 17 - hmm split on it. but im going with no. its dicey and for the most part it seems just like a shuffling of costs. if anyone can lead me in a better direction on this one.. email me.

the list of candidates is long and as i mentioned before.to find the best fit eludes me. i need more education basically. perhaps the politicians more on the city and county level are worth more effort.

i welcome you summer. im ready for you and your all maturation process glory.
